A DOG that was trapped underground for two days after falling into a badger sett was rescued yesterday.
The terrier pet was rescued, in Hartlebury Common, by UK Fire Service Urban Search and Rescue Team, from Droitwich.
The team, made up of firefighters, used specialist equipment, used to find humans, to locate the dog.
Alec Mackie, a spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, said: "We were called yesterday afternoon by the RSPCA. The dog was located at 4.39pm and it took the team two minutes to rescue it.
"The team used vibrating equipment, which picks up sound, to locate the dog.
"The equipment was used to hear where the dog was."
He added: "The dog was ok despite having spent a couple of days underground."
