WRIBBENHALL WI - The first afternoon meeting was well attended by members and guests, including two new members. Mrs Doreen Washbrook was congratulated on her 90th birthday. After a short business meeting, Mr John Boynton gave a talk on tramways, old and new. He showed many historical and modern photographs.
The next meeting will be on April 10 at 3pm at Shaw Hedge Road Community Centre, when Mrs Dorothy Norman will talk about Indian embroidery.
On March 13, members met for lunch at The Granary to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the formation of Wribbenhall WI. County chairman, Mrs Chris Marriott, county advisor, Mrs Pauline Briggs and the group co-ordinator Mrs Margaret Johnson were honoured guests. Each lady received a rose . The president, Mrs Nita Crutch toasted the 80th anniversary, coupled with the county's 90th.
BRIDGE CLUB - The results of the pairs competition held on March 12 was: first Myra Hunter and Anita Reid with 59.26 per cent, second Liliane Wright and Nigel Oldnall with 58.89 per cent, third Monica Parker and & Liz Potter with 54.81 per cent.
This result, combined with the result of March 5 competition, means that this year's winners of The Walton Cup are Liliane Wright and Nigel Oldnall with a combined 58.66 per cent.
ALL SAINTS AND WRIBBENHALL TOGETHER - Gale from Community Action Wyre Forest was the visitor at the March 10 meeting. She has been a great supporter of the project since its launch.
Places are still available on the basic computer training course.

This Monday is Easter Monday therefore the project will be closed.
The Monday girls look forward to meeting residents on the following Monday, March 31.
The visitors will be Gordon Yarranton for the morning session and the North Worcestershire bereavement support group for the afternoon session.
