BURGLARY-RELATED crime is being tackled with the launch of an advice campaign.
Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership is launching an advertising campaign to help stop people becoming victims of bulglaries.
The Safe as Houses awareness campaign launches in April and will explain how people can lower the risk of having a burglar in their homes.
Adverts are being put on Wyre Forest District Council refuse vehicles and there will be an eight-week radio advertising campaign.
In the run up to the launch, West Mercia Constabulary will be offering property marking at The Range in Crossley Retail Park, Kidderminster, on Wednesday from 10am to 3pm.
The campaign is officially launched at the Community Link - Multicultural Event at St George's Park, on March 30.
Further sessions are planned in the Swan Centre on April 8 and 11, running from 10am until 2pm.
Mel Bailey, Oldington and Foley Park pathfinder coordinator, said: "Burglary is a rare crime in the Wyre Forest but we are not complacent.
"We know that these crimes can have a detrimental effect on people and communities long after they actually happen and we are absolutely committed to keeping burglary offences to a minimum."
