A ONE-DAY-OLD foal reported stolen has been found dead in a river.
The foal was reported stolen from a secure field in Timber Lane, Stourport, between 6.30pm on March 5 and 11am on March 6.
The animal was found dead in the River Stour, close to where it went missing, on Monday.
Sgt Neil Jarvis, of Stourport Police, said: "We are investigating the theft of the foal, and are keeping an open mind.
"Investigations are continuing, and witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Darren Broom at Stourport Police Station on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
The foal was described as a heavy horse breed, approximately 10 hands high, and mostly white but with some black on its head and flank.
