WI - President Jackie Emeny welcomed members and visitors to the open meeting. The speaker was Sue Riches, who gave an illustrated account of her journey to the North Pole without the use of dogs or motorised support.
More than 200 women applied to take part in the relay expedition and Sue and her daughter were chosen to go.
There was information about forthcoming county events, These included a celebratory dinner in May, at which Eve Pollard is to speak, and news of holidays, including one to Austria in 2010.
The spring rally will also take place at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel, Bewdley on April 21. On April 7, Nora will lead another of her rambles, this time to Hurcott Pool. Everyone welcome. Meet at the Lych Gate at 10am.
The Lunch Club will meet at The Cross Keys, Ombersley on April 17. On April 23, the craft club will meet at Jackie Emeny's house.
The next meeting will be at the Village Hall on Wednesday when Janet Farmer will be demonstrating differing crafts using eggs.
