HATS off to primary school pupils who have been busy making wacky and wonderful headwear.
Youngsters at Far Forest Primary School were getting into the traditional Easter spirit with a bonnets competition.
Two weeks ago pupils were asked to go home and start designing and making their headgear, letting their imagination run wild.
All 170 pupils brought in their hats for judging by members of the school PTA, who were impressed by the variety of designs and ideas on show.
Jan Croydon, school spokeswoman, said: "As a church school Easter time is a very special time in the life of the school.
"We also try to bring some fun into our celebrations and that is why the PTA have organised the competition."
Awards were given out to pupils in all seven classes for the best hats, including Easter eggs and other treats.
Youngsters at the New Road school, Far Forest, have been learning about the religious Christian message behind the celebrations through lessons and special Easter assemblies.
