ONE of East Anglia's most talked about beauty spots, Kelling Heath Holiday Park is Norfolk's perfect green escape.

Close to the picturesque North Norfolk coast, Kelling Heath is ideal for families and couples looking for a holiday that does not cost the earth, with a real emphasis on sustainable tourism. It offers 250 acres of rare woodland and heathland, while enjoying stunning views of the Weybourne coastline.

The park prides itself on being one of the best in the UK for short breaks and holidays, combining the needs of the modern holidaymaker with a very special focus on the natural environment.

There's an extensive variety of things to see and do, from cycle rides on scenic trails, woodland walks on dedicated routes through beautiful countryside and coastland, to organised events, including dawn chorus walks plus night-jar and heathland walks throughout the year.

The Acorn Club offers children aged four to 12 the chance to enjoy outdoor activities such as nest box making, pond dipping and bushcraft.

There is an outdoor swimming pool available to guests free of charge, whilst the Kelling Heath Health & Fitness Club has a range of membership options and where you will find a well-equipped gymnasium, indoor swimming pool sauna and steam rooms. Two tennis courts are available.

New at Kelling Heath this year is Bracken's Deli & Bistro. By day, it's a relaxed soft-seated café bar, serving sandwiches, cakes and homemade pies with free high-speed internet and Wi-fi access. At night the venue will offer a bistro theme with a substantial menu offering locally-sourced produce.

Also new for 2008, Kelling Heath has invested in more of the popular Heron holiday homes. It has as also re-landscaped the touring area, reducing the number of pitches, focusing more on quality than quantity.

In addition to the serviced pitches, Kelling Heath offers the extra large serviced pitches measuring 14 x 13 metres and fully serviced pitches providing waste and fresh water connections, plus a TV point.

Kelling Heath offers short breaks over weekends or midweek and weekly rates, and is open until December 13. Weekly rates in a three-bed wooden lodge start from £566 and for a luxury holiday home rates start from £217.

For touring caravans and tents, serviced pitches start from £115.50 per week, which includes one car per pitch. Extra charges apply for awnings, dogs and extra cars.
