THE message at the heart of Easter has been retold by primary school pupils at a special service.
Boys and girls at St Catherine's CE Primary School, in Kidderminster, have been marking the important religious festival in the Christian calendar.
To cap off the celebrations, there was a hat parade in school showing pupils' efforts at making colourful headwear covered with the symbols of Easter, like spring chickens and daffodils.
All of the children, from year six through to reception, took part in the parade followed by a service about the Easter story of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection.
Sarah Power, headteacher, said: "The Easter hat parade is a lovely way to conclude the spring term.
"The children have had fun making their hats and we have been amazed by the range of ideas included in the designs."
