1. Make sure they know who, when, where and how to get help.
2. Talk to them about stranger danger and get your point across through role-play with younger children and current events and real situations with older kids.
3. Teach them not to accept sweets or gifts from people they don't know or get in a car with anyone, even those they know, if the journey is unplanned.
