CHILDREN are invited to hit the treasure trail next month and test their local knowledge in a charity fund-raiser.

Kemp Hospice chiefs are organising the Wyre Forest treasure hunt, on Sunday, April 27, in a bid to make children more aware of their local environment.

Fund-raiser, Kate Wilkinson, said: "This walk is a fantastic opportunity to explore one of the most beautiful areas in the country."

The route is a mile long, with 25 clues relating to plants and animals along the way. An activity pack will be presented for completing the course.

The event is aimed at eight-year olds and their families, with proceeds going to the hospice. For details, call 01562 861217.
