AGRICULTURAL land prices reached £17,916 an acre as auctioneers Halls reported competitive bidding at a successful auction in Kidderminster last week.
A small field of 1.2 acres at Bliss Gate, Rock, Kidderminster sold for £21,500 (£17,916 an acre), while a productive field extending to 6.56 acres at Broom Hill, Belbroughton sold for £72,000 (£10,975 an acre).
The auction, held at the Gainsborough House Hotel, was conducted by Roger Sadler, a director of Halls, who reported significant interest and bidding in both lots.
With demand for land continuing to outstrip supply, Mr Sadler said it was a good time for owners to consider selling unwanted parcels of land.
For information about Halls' next sale of rural property, on May 14, contact the company at Gavel House, 137 Franche Road, Kidderminster on Tel: 01562 820880.
