A PASSENGER in a car involved in an accident this morning has died.
The male passenger who died was in a Rover 200 which was involved in a collision with a van at the junction between Oldington Lane and Minster Road, at about 12.30am.
There were five people in the car and two in the van. The driver of the car was seriously injured and the occupants of the van had minor head injuries.
The people in the car were trapped due to the impact of the collision and it took fire crews from Kidderminster station more than an hour to cut them free.
The road was closed off and firefighters eventually left the scene at 3.30am. They are returning this morning to help clear up after the accident.
