CULTURAL activities in Wyre Forest are to be given a cash injection by Worcestershire County Council.
All of the county council's grants schemes are being relaunched this year after they were frozen for 12 months during an arts service review. A total of 16 arts organisations across Worcestershire are to benefit from the county council's latest round of awards, made from the Inroads and Grants to Arts funding schemes.
The authority's arts service supports an inclusive approach to all art forms across the county. The awards have been granted to organisations that meet a range of criteria developed to encourage that approach, to make sure the money is being used to fund projects that support the county council's priorities.
Wyre Forest District Council will receive a grant of £2,610.
Philip Gretton, Conservative county council cabinet member for adult and community services, said: "We are very proud of Worcestershire's cultural heritage.
"We have lots of fantastic projects and events happening locally. These grants go towards guaranteeing future success of the arts in the county."
