RECIPES from celebrity chef Rustie Lee's new cookery book brought a touch of the Caribbean to a ladies' lunch which raised more than £900 for charity.
Friday's event was organised by Shuttle/Times & News sister magazine Limited Edition in aid of Kemp Hospice and guests were served a two-course meal with a difference.
The soon-to-be EastEnders star praised the chef at the Gainsborough House Hotel for his work with two of her creations, Chicken Sans Souci and bread and butter pudding.
And after the meal she used the unlikely combination of rum and Guinness to make an aphrodisiac punch' for the 102 women who attended.
Rustie signed copies of her recently published cookbook, A Taste of the Caribbean, and sang Caribbean songs, including Brown Girl In The Ring.
Kemp cards and gifts were also on sale.
Organiser Carol Hinett said: "The day went well. Rustie was received well by the guests. She's very entertaining. Everyone loved her and she made people laugh."
