A WOMAN needed hospital treatment after being assaulted in a robbery in Bewdley.
The incident happened at about 2am on Sunday, outside the George Hotel, Load Street.
While she was out with a friend the victim, in her 30s, was approached by a group of three women and two men and words were exchanged. She was then assaulted, causing her to fall to the ground.
Two of the offenders then took her handbag. During the incident the woman sustained a cut to her hand and went to Kidderminster Hospital for treatment.
The handbag was black and contained a mobile phone and a number of keys.
The offenders are all described as white and in their late 20s or early 30s. The three females all had blonde hair, two had long hair and one had short hair.
One of the men had red, receding hair and was wearing a white shirt. The other had dark hair and was wearing a striped shirt.
