AN allocation of £2.9 million to repair Wyre Forest residential roads has been criticised as far too little by a Stourport Town Councillor.
Independent Health Concern councillor, James Parish, was speaking at a meeting of Stourport Town Council last night after reviewing a meeting held with Worcestershire County Council's highways liaison engineer.
The county council has made available an extra £15 million for the repair of residential roads in the county, with £2.9 million earmarked for Wyre Forest.
Councillor Parish said: "We have seen some results, in Areley Kings in particular, but the state of roads generally in Wyre Forest, and in particular in Stourport, makes £2.9 million seem far too little."
He added: "We are waiting for a response from the county council. As the town council we can only keep the pressure up, we can't make any orders."
