THE immediate future of a mental health unit is set to be decided following the end of a public consultation.
The Lea Castle Centre, Wolverley, has been under threat since owners Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Partnership Trust backed a proposal to shut the unit.
Closure was one of three options floated in the trust's public consultation, launched in January, and the deadline for submissions was Friday last week.
Other options included leaving things as they are at the site, or developing Lea Castle.
The Coventry trust's health chiefs will decide the matter at an extraordinary board meeting, open to the public, at 2pm, Monday April 7, at Kidderminster Town Hall.
