May I take this opportunity to thank you and the Shuttle/Times and News for last week's article, "Sponsor Quits Over Board Bid".

Can I also use your newspaper to thank the numerous supporters, other sponsors and also the chairman of other football clubs who have contacted me to offer their support after reading your article.

Although I am very disappointed with the way things have turned out after all the extra support my business has given Kidderminster Harriers Football Club, I would urge the fans and sponsors to carry on supporting the club.

The club is far more important than a few directors wanting an extra £50,000 from me now. Perhaps they have forgotten that Hire It! paid the first two years' shirt sponsorship in advance to help cash flow at the club. With the club saying there will be a reduced budget due to failing attendances at matches I was prepared to offer my services free of charge as main sponsor to try to get other sponsors and fans more involved with the club.

This would motivate both the manager and players as we did at Crawley and Cambridge and hopefully see more consistent performances from the team, followed by more supporters coming through the turnstiles. I would add that Hire It! will continues to support the club through other means.
