THE senior section of Wyre Forest Golf Club was bowled over to make a £100 donation for the Back on Track appeal during a fund-raising skittles night.
About 50 senior and lady golfers were joined by supporters of Stourport Hockey Club for the special evening.
James McIntyre, treasurer of the Kidderminster-based club and event organiser, said: "It was a good time enjoyed by all and our members were very happy to raise funds for the appeal."
His son, Alistair, is a past chairman of the hockey club, while his daughter-in-law, Karen, is a life member.
Mr McIntyre added: "The appeal is vital because it helps young people. Both the hockey club and Kidderminster and Stourport Athletic Club are amenities which provide an essential service for young people in our district."
He went on: "The golf club also has a junior section and it's very nice for the old ones to be encouraging the young ones in their sport."
The twice-yearly evenings have previously raised money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, Children in Need and the Shuttle/Times & News Operation Covert appeal.
