BEWDLEY based Wetherspoons pub the George Hotel is bidding to brighten up October by hosting a 12 day real ale festival at their Load Street premises.
The festival which takes place from October 12 to Sunday, October 23 will only feature ales brewed by British grown hops.
An impressive array of rare ales on offer will also include several from overseas including South Africa, Norway and Australia.
A number of the ales on offer are appearing at the George for the first time, including some that have been brewed especially for the festival.
And the good news is that all the ales on offer will only cost £1.99p a pint!
Pub manager Ellis Jackman said: “The festival is a great celebration of real ale all made using British grown hop varieties.
“It will allow us to showcase a selection of superb ales while supporting the British hop industry.
“The hop varieties include Jester, Fuggles, First Gold, Opus, Goldings and Godiver."
A number of leading breweries will be supporting the event with their ales including Shepherd Neame, Brewster’s, Greene King, Coach house, Lancaster and Batemans.
There is also a festival news booklet which includes the tasting notes for all the ales available in the pub as well as the Wetherspoon app and website.
