In The Shuttle, Mark Garnier makes the point ‘I don’t understand how the government has got it so wrong’. As luck would have it I do have an inkling.

The Conservative Government has been taken over by an extreme minority. Liz Truss was elected by just one in every 840 people you meet. Despite climate change getting out of hand, it wants more oil and gas (even though renewable energy is now 9 times cheaper). And it wants to take from the less well off and give to the rich.

The vast majority in North Worcestershire do not want 2 years of this. It does not feel at all like democracy. Yet the only people who can stop this nonsense now are backbench Conservative MPs.

Having read the shocking stories of daylight shop robberies and thefts of push bikes in Kidderminster town centre. I have written to two of my local councillors, asking them to approach WFDC, with a view to purchasing a quantity of secondhand High Definition CCTV Cameras, that were recently removed from some inner city boroughs in Birmingham.

The idea being to replace existing old technology with more modern equipment, able to clearly identify offenders running riot in the town centre. This relatively cheap option would help the police and give residents greater peace of mind whilst shopping in the town centre. It was also suggested that a joint initiative between WFDC and West Mercia Police would help defray the relatively small expenses involved.

We had the lying Prime Minster now we have the greedy Prime Minister. Public services will be cut to pay for this trashing of the economy that is why they will not say how they will fund this or will we be able to see the OBR report!

The bank of England had to step in to save pension funds and the interest rates will swallow any help the government is giving in energy bills plus the cost of living will go even higher with the pound so weak on the financial market.

On the same day as we had the mini budget they then had a champagne reception with fund managers . Most of them may of made money from the crash of the pound?

This government is damaging our country here and around the world with their politics.

We need an election now so that the people of this country can have a say on the future of our country and not just for the greedy Prime Minister and the 1% of the population!
