PEOPLE have been expressing their sadness on social media after the announcement that the popular Rays Farm has closed for good.
The tourist attraction, in Billingsley, near Wyre Forest, had been running for 32 years.
A statement on the Rays Farm website said: "It is with regret we have to inform all our visitors, past and present, that Rays Farm Country Matters will not be opening again in 2023.
"Due to several reasons outside of our control, the decision has been made to close the business.
"We thank everyone for their support over the last 32 years".
Reacting to the news, one Facebook user said: "Such sad news, Rays Farm holds fond memories for lots of families, such a lovely place and lovely people".
Another said: "I loved bringing my children to your farm when they were younger. Such a lovely place with well cared for animals and we loved the woodland walk. Some lovely memories".
Another said: "Such sad news, we all loved the place and the animals".
The farm confirmed on Facebook that they are currently in the process of rehoming their animals.
The post said: "Thank you to everyone who has been in touch regarding the closure of Rays Farm. We have had many enquiries regarding our animals and birds. We would like to reassure everyone that new homes will be found for all of them. This will take time and care.
"Thank you to all who have reminded us of their fond memories created during their visits".
