THE owner of a trendy tea room has decided to take on another popular establishment near Kidderminster.
Gil Hancox, the proprietor of Gil's in Wolverley, will be refurbishing The Village Bistro in Chaddesley Corbett and rebranding it.
The 57-year-old is planning on relaunching the restaurant as Gil's in March - and bookings are already coming in.
He will run it as a sister site to the Wolverley tea room.
From November last year, The Village Bistro was open solely for private hire and events.
Mr Hancox said: "I heard that it was becoming available so I made enquiries. I slept on it and I thought that I'd go and have a look.
"I used to go there myself and it was somewhere I always referred people to. I loved it.
"It happened in just a few weeks. We get the keys on the first of February.
"It needs refurbishment - I need to put my stamp on it".

Mr Hancox described the level of support the new venture has received as "extraordinary."
He added: "We've got the diaries open and we've already got people booked in. We've got bookings right up until the summer".
