A ROAD between Bewdley and Stourport is set to close later today (January 13) due to flooding.
A section of the B4191 between Bewdley and Stourport named the ‘switchback’ is set to close as the River Severn’s water levels continue to rise.
Flood water from the river has started to come across into the roadway.

The latest River Severn water level which was recorded at 2:20 pm by the Environment Agency was 4.27m.
By Sunday, January 15 water levels are expected to increase to nearly 5m.
The highest level the River Severn in Bewdley has seen was recorded on November 2 2020 at 5.56m.
