A NEW Community Café is now open at Wolverley Memorial Hall which will offer a 'warm space' for residents.
Free hot soup and drinks are being served on Wednesday lunchtimes from the beginning of February.
Graham Wallis, chair of the Wolverley Memorial Charitable Trust, said: “We know the increased costs of living is making things difficult for everyone at the moment.”
“That’s why we are offering the new Community Café as a warm, welcoming place for people to gather. We want everyone to enjoy this space; bring your knitting or a book or just come in for a chat and on Wednesday lunchtimes and enjoy some free hot soup or a drink.”
The Community Café at the Memorial Hall was officially opened as a charity-run enterprise on January 14 this year. Any profits will be passed back into the charity to help maintain the facilities at the hall.

“It is an immense pleasure to be part of this local initiative,” said café manager, Celia Jackson.
“We are thrilled to see so many people already coming in to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and lovely facilities. We have speciality Lavazza coffee, good quality snacks all at reasonable prices and free Wi-Fi".
The community café is currently open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 2pm until 4.30pm. The free warm space will be offered from February 1 every Wednesday from 12noon until 2pm.
