2nd year students from Kidderminster College will be ending the year on a high note with special performances of Bernard Kops - Dreams of Anne Frank, at the Rose Theatre in Kidderminster on the 19th and 20th June.
The performance, which is staged, produced and acted entirely by the college's performing arts acting and production arts students - Kidderminster's stars of the future , will be their swansong.
Students chose to perform the play, an imaginative recreation of the dreams of Anne Frank during her years in hiding, due to its recognition as a world-leading children's production - a must see for families in the area.
Leading lady Sarah Lewis, who is playing the role of Anne, said: "This has to be the most challenging role I have played to date. I've had to visualise what it must be like for a 15 year old to be stuck in such a confined space and all the emotions that go with that. Plus, the play itself goes in and out of stark reality and fun fantasy so it is certainly an emotionally demanding role to play."
Jen Eglinton, Head of Drama at Kidderminster College, said: "Our students have been working extremely hard to make this a show not to be missed. They've undertaken a lot of research into the background of Anne Frank and have even learnt to sing in Hebrew!
"We really want to put on an enjoyable, show stopping performance for the people of Kidderminster - making it a great night out for all!"
Tickets for the show are still available and cost between £6.50 - £8.00. They are available from the box office at the Rose Theatre or by calling the theatre directly on 01562 743745.
