FEARS have been sparked over new plans to build a brand new 72-bed care home off a main road deemed "dangerous."
GL Consultants Ltd and Cinnamon Luxury Care are seeking to build a new care home at the Comberton Lodge Nursery site off Comberton Road.
The former plant nursery would be flattened to make way for the new home, with proposals including vehicle access, car parking, landscaping, and the construction of a pumping station. A full planning application was submitted earlier this year.
The majority of residents commenting on Wyre Forest District Council's planning website have voiced concerns over the plans.
One objector said: "This is a very dangerous road on a blind bend with a 50 mph speed limit making accessing and exiting the site extremely dangerous with fatal accidents waiting to happen".
Another said: "The driveway into the care home is too short. Traffic on the busy road and roundabout nearby will not be able to see vehicles coming out at the awkward angle shown on the plans. It's dangerous".

Another said it would create "too much strain and traffic on an area that is already struggling to cope".
Some highlighted that the site was previously earmarked for nine new homes and not a "commercial care home."
However, the plan has received some support, with one saying it would be a "great use of space to support the vulnerable in our society."
Another supporter said: "I find myself supporting this plan as we need to cater for an older population".
They added: "The access is the only point I will raise with some concern. It’s a very fast bit of road on a bend, so I would like to see some sort of traffic calming measure in order for everyone's safety but I think it's most welcome".
According to the planning statement: "The urgent need for high quality elderly persons accommodation in Wyre Forest district and elsewhere is a not being met.
"Importantly, this development is viable, funded and will be delivered, as such it will make a significant contribution to satisfying the requirements of Local Plan policy".
