A MAKESHIFT bed and a plug socket with wires stuffed directly inside were found at a Kidderminster shop where illegal tobacco was seized.

Worcestershire Trading Standards visited a shop in the town, which has not been named, along with West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service last week.

Illicit tobacco was previously found at the shop, with trading standards finding more at the latest visit.

Trading standards shared photos of a bed found at the store and a plug socket with wires fitted directly in.

They said that a notice has been issued by the fire service due to "living conditions and electrical safety."

Worcestershire Trading Standards posted on Twitter: "Officers were out in #Kidderminster this morning with @KMinsterCops & @HWFire visiting a shop we've seized #illegaltobacco from previously. Illegal tobacco found and seized & notice issued by @HWFire due to living conditions & electrical safety".
