A CELEBRITY known for her role in Line of Duty and the Bodyguard was spotted dining at a Worcestershire Cafe.

Keeley Hawes was turning heads while eating in the Hodgehill garden centre cafe on Birmingham Road, Kidderminster.

Mrs Hawes is a British actress who has starred in various films and TV shows alongside famous faces like Vicky McClure, Sophie Rundle, Richard Madden and Josh O'Connor.

Scott Wilcox-Wright, the manager of Hodgehill, said staff members were really shocked and excited when they realised it was Keeley Hawes.

He said: "It was a very busy lunch service, as most Fridays are, and she was at the counter ordering her food, and one of my colleagues spotted her but was unsure.

"I could not quite believe that she was there."

He said after Mrs Hawes ordered food and returned to her seat, heads began to turn as people in the cafe started to realise a celebrity was in the room.

He added: "It was very exciting, and she was very charming and sweet.

"She ordered food, and we did not want to cause too much fuss for her.

"It was surreal as we have seen her on many things on TV.

"It's like the characters had come to life.

"But she also was just a normal person, and you would not have noticed it was her unless someone said."

However, Mrs Hawes is not the first famous face to visit Hodgehill, and the team have also seen sports presenter Pat Murphy and British actress and comedian Catherine Tate.

But, Mr Wilcox-Wright said Mrs Hawes is one of the most famous names to ever walk into the Hodgehill garden centre.
