CONSTRUCTION work has begun on a new classroom block at Wolverley CE Secondary School.
The £3m project is part of a wider £5m scheme to upgrade, expand and improve facilities at the school.
Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier visited the school last week to mark the start of the work on the new 12 classroom block.
Headteacher, Bryn Thomas said: “Wolverley continues to be a successful, improving, and growing school and this investment is welcomed by the school community.
“Our students deserve the very best teaching and learning environment we can offer, and the start of these works marks the start of an exciting period in the school’s history.
Mark Garnier said: “I am delighted that I was able to witness the start of some transformational change and investment in a Wyre Forest secondary school.”
The new building is scheduled to be completed in early November.
