Kidderminster has expanded much further than its original boundaries into the Foley Park area. These photos show the Empire Carpet Company site from 1907-1967.
The land owner, Thomas Griffin, built the Foley Park factory in Beauchamp Avenue in around 1912.
This area has changed significantly over the years. Michael Loftus has taken a cue from David Olusoga’s BBC TV series ‘A House in Time’ to deliver a facinating talk at the Museum of Carpet on this expansion.
To find out more about how Kidderminster has expanded, come along to Michael Loftus’ talk on “Breaking the Boundaries” at the Museum of Carpet on the 5th of April at 10:30am.
To book your tickets, visit www.museumofcarpet.org, call 01562 69028 or visit the Museum reception.
