A CHARITY football match is being held to support the family of a late dad from Stourport.
Bewdley Town Football Club will be hosting the fundraising event in memory of 30-year-old Thomas Bates.
Mostyn Rangers and Chaddesley Corbett will face each other in the charity fixture.
The event will also feature bouncy castles, face painting, penalty shootouts, a BBQ, raffles and live music.
It will be held on Sunday, May 14 at Bewdley Town Football Club, Ribbesford Meadows.
The gates open at noon. Entry costs £5 for adults and children can go for free. The event is also cash only.
Mr Bates, who worked as a carpenter, went missing and was last seen in Chepstow, Wales, on March 2. His disappearance sparked a major appeal across two regions and his body was found in Gloucestershire on April 1.
Family and friends paid tribute to Mr Bates on social media. He was described as a “beautiful soul” and a “superstar.”
