A POPULAR paddling pool in Stourport is set to reopen later this month.
Stourport Town Council has announced that preparations are underway for the reopening of the Riverside Paddling Pool.
Water testing and cleaning is currently taking place. It's set to reopen for the season on Friday, May 26, in time for the May half-term holidays.
Back in 2021, Wyre Forest District Council transferred ownership of the much-loved family attraction to Stourport Town Council to mitigate financial issues and protect community services.
Last year, the pool had to be closed due to vandalism and issues with the filtration system.
In a post on Facebook, the council said: "Stourport-on-Severn Town Council are delighted to announce that preparations are underway (i.e. water testing/cleaning etc) for the Riverside Paddling Pool to open for the season on Friday 26th May 2023 in time for the half-term holidays.
"It will be open daily between 10.00am and 5.30pm up until Sunday 3rd September 2023".
