A DISCOUNT store in Stourport which is set to close will remain open over the weekend. 

The Original Factory Shop, which sells clothes, beauty products and home products, was set to close on Friday (May 19).

But the final day of trading for the Bridge Street store will now be on Sunday, May 21.

A 50 per cent off sale is also happening on "almost everything in store".

Last month, the company has decided to call time on its Stourport store following a review.

A spokesperson for The Original Factory Shop said: “We regularly review the stores across our property estate and unfortunately have taken the decision to close our Stourport store.

"For the last few weeks, we have been consulting with colleagues at the store and are working hard to support all of those affected. 

"We’d like to thank all our customers for their support and look forward to welcoming them at any of the three stores, which are all located within 20 miles.”
