A PLAN to build 52 new homes on land next to a railway station is set to go before a planning committee again after previously being deferred.
Marmaris Investments Ltd is seeking planning permission to build the new properties on a field on the northern edge of Blakedown, off Station Drive.
The plan previously went before Wyre Forest District Council's planning committee in April, but it was deferred for a site visit.
Nearly 50 people have objected to the plans on the council's planning website, raising concerns over the scale of development in relation to the village, increases in congestion, and the impact on wildlife.
Churchill & Blakedown Parish Council previously objected to the development land being removed from the green belt.
The application also seeks to safeguard land for future car parking to serve Blakedown Railway Station.
The application will now be considered by councillors at the planning meeting on Tuesday (June 20).
