THE long-running Stourport Carnival will return this Saturday (September 2) with live music, parades and fireworks.
The popular carnival has been held annually since 1925 and sees a range of events and activities at Riverside Meadows and throughout the town.
People will be lining the streets to witness the carnival parade going through the town, as well as the river parade.
The event will also feature a fun fair, stalls, games, and a fireworks extravaganza to bring the carnival to a close.
The fireworks display will start at 9.30pm.

"Saturday 2nd September - we've booked the sunshine (fingers crossed!!) - all you need to do is turn up for a fun-filled day!
"The land parade leaves Areley Kings at 12.30pm and will make its way into town for around 1pm. Make sure you get a good spot so you get a great view of the parade.
"Be sure to come down to the bandstand for 3.00pm to watch the Crowning Ceremony and meet our new Queen's Court.
"This is the point at which we will announce the winners of the parade entries for all the different classes and the overall winner! Lots of fun and entertainment for the rest of the day including live music, stalls, fun fair, inflatables and yummy food and drink!
"We have a coffee van, mocktail bar, home bakes, sweet treats as well as delicious hot food vendors to help keep you going for the day.
"There are river parades at 4.00pm and 8.30pm and then a firework display to close the evening at 9.30pm.
"Be sure to pop up into town during the day and visit the local shops and see what they have to offer!!
"The Civic has an evening event on too so there’s lots of choice to keep you occupied all day long.
"Please dig deep in your pockets and donate what you can in our collection buckets. We’ll be donating all that money back out to local charities and organisations.
