A popular splashpad at a park in Kidderminster has been closed with immediate effect until next year.
Brinton Park Heritage Fund announced yesterday (Monday, September 25) that the attraction in Brinton Park had a suspected electrical fault and would be closed until further notice.
Despite aiming to fix the problem, an assessment of the site confirmed it was a mechanical fault with the pump which could not be fixed before the end of the season.
Brinton Park Heritage Fund said: “An electrician has now assessed the splashpad and has confirmed a mechanical fault with the pump. Unfortunately, this will take over a week to fix so we have made the decision to close the splashpad for the season.
“We’re so sorry that the splashpad could not remain open until this Sunday 1 October as planned.
“It’s been a fantastic season this year, with thousands of children enjoying the splashpad. We look forward to seeing you all again for more fun next year.”
