WYRE Forest residents will be coming together this Sunday for parades and services to remember soldiers who have served and lost their lives in wars and other conflicts.
A number of road closures will be in place across the county across this weekend in order for parades to go ahead.
Here are the road closures in Wyre Forest:
- Stourport Remembrance Day Parade - Mitton Street and Vale Road, Stourport On Severn rolling closures between 10am - 1pm. Roads to be reopened as soon as parade passes.
- Bewdley Remembrance Day Parade - Load Street and High Street closures in Bewdley from 10.30am - 1pm.
- Kidderminster Remembrance Day - New Road, Oxford Street, Bridge Street, Vicar Street, and Lower Mill Street, rolling closures from 10.30am to 10.50am and then from 12pm to 12.20pm.
Councillor Richard Morris, Chairman of the Worcestershire Armed Forces Partnership, said: “It is vitally important that the county can come together and take a moment to remember those who have lost their lives fighting for their country.
"During my tenure as chair, we will continue to do all we can to reflect, raise awareness and support those in the Armed Forces community in Worcestershire and build on the fantastic work already being done".
