AN annual beer festival in Kidderminster has been hailed as a success by its organisers.
Last week, Wyre Forest CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) held its Kidderminster Beer and Cider Festival, which took place between Thursday, November 9, and Saturday, November 11.
The event was held at a new location this year, Kidderminster Harriers Social and Supporters Club, with attendance numbers as good as those from previous years at the town hall.
Wyre Forest CAMRA chairman, Rob Budworth, was very pleased with how this year's event went.
He said: "The 42 beers, 15 ciders, gin, wine and low-alcohol offerings went down a treat.
“We closed early on the Saturday, at 5pm, with virtually all the beer and cider consumed.
“The Harriers Social Club is a great venue for an event the size of ours and we thank them for their partnership with us over the course of the last week as we set the Festival up, then ran the Festival, then cleared up on the Sunday.
“The numbers of people attending fit comfortably in this brilliant hall, and we have better accessibility to the hall, and to the bars inside the hall."
