ONE-way traffic restrictions on Kidderminster Road in Bewdley will be removed over Christmas, the Environment Agency has confirmed.
A traffic management system is in place on the road whilst works are carried out to install new flood defences at Beales Corner.
Over the festive period, the system will revert to two-way from December 22 until January 2, 2024.
The restrictions currently on Stourport Road will remain in place.
A statement on the Bewdley Town Council website said: "The Environment Agency has made us aware of their intention to remove the one-way traffic management restrictions on Kidderminster Road over the Christmas period.
"Severn Trent Water and its contractors have completed work according to schedule, and Kidderminster Road will revert to two-way traffic from Friday 22 December for a temporary period.
"Kidderminster Road will return to a one-way system from Tuesday 2 January to allow construction of the flood risk management scheme to continue.
"The Environment Agency will endeavour to remove any traffic restrictions where practicable, however, there may be some circumstances outside of their control which means it is not possible to do so, for example, in periods of flooding.
"The Environment Agency would like to thank the community of Bewdley for their continued patience and understanding during the construction of the flood risk management scheme".
