A 20kg weight was thrown through the window of a Kidderminster home on New Year's Eve.
The window of a home on Coronation Way was smashed at around 1.30am on Sunday (December 31).
A vehicle parked nearby also had its window smashed.
Police are investigating and have put out an alert on the neighbourhood matters system appealing for witnesses.
PCSO Rebecca Ruston said: "We are investigating criminal damage to a window of a property on Coronation Way, Kidderminster and are appealing to local residents for information.
"The window was damaged at approximately 0130hrs on 31st December when unknown persons have thrown a 20kg weight at the property.
"A vehicle parked nearby has also had its rear window smashed at the same time.
"If you have information about the damage please let us know using the online ‘Tell Us About’ form on our website www.westmercia.police.uk, quoting incident reference 00027_I_31122023."
