The Post Office in Stourport-on-Severn is set to be relocated with new opening hours.
The change will see the current Post Office, based at the Co-operative store at Lombard Street, move to 28 High Street with the final arrangements now being made.
The premises are currently empty and will undergo a full refurbishment to incorporate the Post Office within a new Co-operative store subject to consultation.
A spokesperson for the Post Office said: "Our partners operate Post Office branches alongside their private retail business. It is important that they make the very best use of their resources to ensure future sustainability of both their business and the Post Office service.
"The move will help secure continued access to Post Office services as well as supporting the viability of our partner’s business."
The Post Office will be in a dedicated area of the store with three screened counters.
The same products and services will be available with new opening hours including Monday to Friday from 8am to 5.30pm and Saturday from 8.30am to 2.30pm.
The relocation is a move of 290 metres with the Post Office saying they "recognise that for some customers this will be further to travel but closer for others."
There is time restricted roadside parking available along the High Street with designated disabled bays.
There will also be a pay-and-display car park on Lickhill Road.
