A VIP guest is set to appear at Severn Valley Railway (SVR) as the heritage attraction opens in February half-term for the first time in years.
Families are being invited to experience some half-term fun next month with the identity of the iconic children's literature character being kept top secret.
Visitor engagement manager at SVR, Lewis Maddox, said: "We've got to keep the identity of our VIP visitor under wraps for the time being.
"But we guarantee families are going to love the opportunity for an in-person meeting with them at The Engine House at Highley and there will be photo opportunities as well."
Visits to meet the VIP character will take place between Tuesday, February 13 and Thursday, February 15 and must be pre-booked.
Tickets include travel to Highley on board a heritage train from either Kidderminster or Bridgnorth.
At the Engine House, there are lots of things to do after the pre-booked character visit including interactive exhibits, story time sessions and an outdoor play area.
The identity of the children’s literature character will be announced very soon on social media and at www.svr.co.uk.
Services for half-term will operate on Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February 11, Tuesday, February 13 to Thursday, February 15 and Saturday, February 17 to Sunday, February 18.
