A main road has been closed by police after heavy rain caused flooding in parts of Worcestershire. 

The A448 Kidderminster Road in Chaddesley Corbett was closed earlier this morning (Friday, February 9) after being flooded near Rowberry's Nursery. 

In an update on social media at 4am, Traffic Bromsgrove said: "Police are currently at the scene and the road is closed and will be closed into the morning commute.

"Please use an alternative route." 

Worcestershire County Council confirmed that the road was still closed shortly after 7am but it has since re-opened.
