Councillor Dan Morehead, the cabinet member for economic regeneration, planning and the green agenda at the council said: "We are very pleased to launch this website which serves as a gateway to the wonders of the Severn Valley.

"Whether you're a first-time visitor or a longtime resident, our goal is to inspire a sense of wonder and discovery, inviting everyone to experience all that this remarkable region has to offer."

He added: "Our intention is that in addition to visiting for a day, visitors choose this beautiful area for a staycation with friends and family as there are great places to eat, drink and stay.

"Activities wise, there really is something for everyone.”

The website highlights include immersive cultural experiences such as a look into Severn Valley's historic landmarks and thriving arts scene.

Visitors can also learn about the River Severn, the longest river in the United Kingdom, and related activities like leisurely boat cruises and water sports.

A user-friendly interactive map is available for planning trips.

Councillor Morehead concluded: "Through this website, we hope to encourage visitors to explore, respect, and preserve the natural and cultural heritage of this extraordinary destination.

"We would like to thank all the partners involved in the creation of this website and look forward to continuing to showcase this beautiful area."

The website, funded by the UK government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, is now live and can be visited at www.visitsevernvalley.uk.
