The community came together at the weekend as hundreds of youngsters marched through Kidderminster in celebration of St George's Day.
Crowds lined the streets to witness the annual St George's Day parade on Sunday (April 21) as Scouts, Guides, Squirrels, Beavers, Rainbows, Brownies, Cubs, Explorers, Ranger groups and more marked the special occasion.
The parade started from New Road at around 10.30am and made its way via Comberton Hill and Hoo Road to Aggborough Stadium for a service.
The group returned via Worcester Street and Vicar Street where the mayor and other civic dignitaries took the salute.
In a post on Facebook, Girlguiding Kidderminster said: "Thank you to everyone who came on the St George's Day parade this morning.
"Well done to everyone who took on extra roles with carrying flags and with the service. Also thank you to all the marshals who helped keep us all safe."
In a post following the event, the chair of Worcestershire County Council, Kyle Daisley, said: "This morning, I attended the St George’s Day parade in Kidderminster. A lovely service at Kidderminster Harriers Football Ground. Well done to all involved."
Motorists had previously been warned to expect delays and diversions due to road closures between 9.30am until 1.30pm.
The main areas covered by the closures included New Road, Oxford Street, Ring Road, Comberton Hill, Hoo Road and the town centre.
The roads were closed on a rolling basis to minimise disruption with the event hailed a success by the community.
