The town council has revealed the date a paddling pool in Stourport is set to reopen.
Over the next few days, the Riverside Padding Pool, which is currently closed for the season, is undergoing refurbishment work to replace its current "problematic" surface.
Stourport Town Council announced on social media today (Thursday, April 25) that the work on the paddling pool should be completed in time to welcome visitors back to the attraction on Saturday, May 25.
The town council said the work has faced some temporary delays due to the wet weather but the team hopes the sunshine will help enable them to resurface the paddling pool in time for next month.
The pool will also undergo a spring clean after the work is completed to make sure it is ready to welcome visitors.
A spokesperson for Stourport Town Council said: "Over the next few days, you will notice works being carried out to the Riverside Paddling Pool. This is to replace the current “problematic” surface.
"Our British weather so far this year can be described in one word: Wet. Please can you all do a very big sun dance to prevent any further delays in the works being carried out; the weather needs to be back on our side.
"Once all works have been completed, the area will have a good spring clean ready to welcome visitors back on Saturday, May 25."
