A brand-new Greggs shop looks set to open its doors in Kidderminster. 

The news comes after a huge sign appeared outside the MFG Viaduct fuel station on Worcester Road advertising the new shop. 

The sign, which says "your new shop is coming soon", also advises residents to ask inside the Shell petrol station for more information on joining the team. 

MFG Viaduct is already home to McDonald's and a Londis on the site with the new Greggs set to add to the existing offerings on the forecourt. 

Confirming the news, a spokesperson for MFG said: "We are always investing in our forecourts to serve the communities in which we operate.

"We look forward to the opening of the new Greggs in the near future."

The opening date is yet to be confirmed but the shop will join existing Greggs branches that have already set up home in the town. 

This includes Greggs in Weavers Wharf, the Swan Centre, Foley Drive, Marlpool Lane and Crown Lane. 

We contacted Greggs for a comment but they were unable to confirm plans for the new store "at the moment" and more updates would be provided in the future. 

A spokesperson for Greggs said: "Greggs is always looking into new shop locations. While we are unable to confirm anything at the moment, we will share any information in due course."
