A WOMAN'S death in Kidderminster is not being treated as suspicious - police have said.
The woman, in her 40s, fell from a bridge on to Mill Lane at around 3.30pm yesterday (Thursday May 2).
Police said today that "her death is not being treated as suspicious and there is not believed to be any third-party involvement."
They said a report for the coroner will be prepared.
Police patrols have been increased in the town today (Friday May 3) in the wake of the tragic incident, to offer reassurance to the local community.
Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Wyre Forest Lisa Hornberger said: “Incidents of this nature can bring upset and concern to many, and officers will be on patrol in the area to speak to anybody in that community who needs comfort, support or reassurance.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this difficult time”.
