A beautician from Belbroughton has been left "overwhelmed" after her salon was crowned the best in Worcestershire for the second year running.
The Aesthetics Room Bromsgrove was named the best in the region at the England Business Awards 2024 during a special ceremony in Birmingham.
The awards were held on Sunday (May 5) and followed a rigorous judging process including mystery shoppers.
The salon, which offers a variety of beauty treatments, moved to its new site on Worcester Road just 10 months ago and has continued to build a great relationship with its clients.
Owner Beth Clayton, aged 31, from Belbroughton, said: "It was just amazing. It has come as a total shock. We were named the best in Worcestershire last year so we never imagined we would win it back-to-back.
"We have no idea who nominated us but for our clients to put us forward two years in a row is just incredible. It feels so great to be recognised and to see how far the business has come in such a short amount of time."
Ms Clayton, who specialises in Botox, first entered the beauty industry in 2021 after having a dramatic career change from working in the emergency services.
The salon has been open for two years and was first located on the top floor of George Davis Hairdressing before moving to the new site.
After winning in the regional category, the salon will now compete at the national awards final in November.
The mum-of-one said: "Entering the beauty industry has been amazing. After I had my little girl, I knew my time in the emergency services had come to an end. I just wanted more flexibility and to spend more time with her.
"It started with just me but there are now seven girls at the salon who all do an amazing job. We specialise in different areas so to be recognised together under one award is really lovely.
"I couldn't do any of this without them and I'm so grateful for all their support. I also want to say a huge thank you to our clients for putting us forward for the award and giving us the opportunity to be crowned the best in the country at the national finals in November."
